Here's the issue with the $30 a month.

I'm not going to use it most of the time. I kept it for 9.99 or slightly more on Peacock but barely uaed it...but if I WANTED to, it's there to use.

Not paying $30 i may go a month without watching other than the ppv

Since 2014, I've been day 1 on wwe network and then Peacock first day available. For 11 straight years I've had a sub for wwe.

Smh.

We should have known this would happen tho bc UFC prices are jacked way too high, so should have known TKO wouldn't let wwe be viewed as a cheap product

This is how I was with SlingTV. I was paying $45 a month to only watch Smackdown so I canceled it a few months back.

Fans are killin me today :mjlol: A post I saw on SquaredCircle. In other words, "Dre Day only meant Eazy's payday...."

- The NFL made a deal where in exchange for their live games, network content, and the Red Zone channel, they would receive a 10% ownership stake in ESPN

- The NFL media rights revenue sharing system means all 32 teams get an equal share of the profits. Last season the NFL got about $14 billion dollars total from their media partners -- so every team got about $432M each.

- It will now cost $30 a month if you want to watch WWE PLE's on ESPN+.

Rough Math:

- 10% of $30 divided by 32 is $0.09375 per month

- So if 1M WWE fans subscribe to ESPN+, the Khan family will get $93,750

Disappointing for the sole wrestling fan but ESPN is making sure someone is going to pay for this D2C shyt. WWE launched an wrestling network only 11 years ago for $10 and that shyt is VHS status now. They're about to be two years in with the TKO deal and moving PLEs to ESPN for $30. Someone with better business acumen can probably school me, but this looks like low risk-high reward for TKO.

It's tone deaf but pretty much good ole' captialism at work. More people are tightening their budget due to a unstable economy and job market, yet these entertainment companies are still raising prices.

Going to be a lot of people treating these streaming services like wardrobe for the four seasons. Switch up every 3-4 months or go to the alternative routes. Or you could just bush the company in general and say it was a moral decision knowing damn well it's strictly financial. :manny:

Also, fukk Pat McAfee.
