But yeah on the topic this has always been the appeal of the xmen, and as a young black boy this is why i truly got into comic's. This along with spiderman gave me a realistic view on and angles on things i loved like in a fantasy setting. And its why DC never clicked with me like that.

Belive it or not some people never caught the conection. Head over to comic vine and you'll see some readers refuse to see the conection even though Stan Lee and Jack Kirby has been confirmed this
