can't load games off a externalNo External? WTF. Sony trying to fukk up that mod scene.
The Xbox One 500 GB internal hard drive is irreplaceable, but the system will allow users to connect an external hard drive through USB to store digital content when they inevitably need to extend their hard drive space. However, that external hard drive feature will not be available at launch, according to the latest Major Nelson podcast at PAX Prime.
A PAX Prime attendee named Brad asked whether there are any limitations regarding the system's external hard drive feature. Major Nelson replies with the following:
The Xbox One will ship with a 500 GB hard drive, all of them have that. The future plan is for definitely to support external storage much like we do on the Xbox 360. My understanding is that feature will not be there at launch because the team is working on some other things, but it is definitely on the list. I don't know when it will come in though.
This probably won't be a problem at launch as it'll most likely take a great number of downloads to fill that 500 GB hard drive, but it is a concern if you plan to go the full digital route for the next-generation depending on how soon Microsoft implements the feature.
To contrast with the PS4, its internal 500 GB hard drive is replaceable like the PS3, but also like its current gen system, users will not be able to use use external storage for game installs, as confirmed by Sony's Shuhei Yoshida.

Lame.![]()

Point is that its coming. MS does 2 yearly updates. Im sure it will be available in the 1st year. Dont forget we do have unlimited cloud storage. Not only is it not available at launch, they don't know when it will be available.![]()

You cant save games to cloud storage nikka
yes you can, talking shyt you have no idea about.Well it's not gonna be there at launch so who knows. They may decide not to implement it at all. At least for game downloads.MS would be morons to allow game downloads to an external. They'll backtrack off that if they have any sense.
If not, It's gonna be christmas for the modders and hackers.
