Oh I see. You didn't answer my question, did you actually

@bold I don't have a PS3 but only 360.

This is why I'll cop PS4 cause they always have JRPG.

School me on Resonance of Fate? Linear? or Open World?
Its pretty much like most Tales games. I wouldn't call it linear but there are definitely linear sections of the game.

Resonance of Fate is a good game. I'd give it a 7/10.

Its linear and the story starts off kinda slow before picking up. Its carried by the characters and combat system, which is very unique and the best thing to compare it to is the Grandia series. There's a learning curve but it can be very rewarding.

Star Ocean has a :ehh: combat system but everything else in the game will make you cringe, especially the cutscenes.

And that's one of the least cringeworthy scenes in the game.

@Methodical I've never played it :yeshrug:.

Check out Nier and Eternal Sonata though. They're both good and I believe both were released on the 360.

Nier looks like an action rpg, not JRPG.but look solid :leon:

I"m not really feel Eternal Sonata, it seems a bit cheesy. So, you actually played those games?

I beat both and they're worth checking out.
I think Nier is the best JRPG that Square Enix released on consoles this gen. It gets a lot of love by people who played it despite the mixed reviews.

I heard that Eternal Sonata is a very short game.

The Last Remant isn't xbox on demand but on Amazon cost is $69.99 :what:

I'm still on :lupe: which game should I get two......I check it out Nier on Youtube and it doesn't look like JRPG at all to me.

Nier is a JRPG. Apparently Square only published the game.

Just get Tales of Vasperia and Resonance of Fate. Both are good.

Is the multiplayer on Graces F as good as everyone says it is?

I've been looking for JRPGs to buy two games. I already have FF13, FF13-2, Lost Odyssey.

Man, Lost Odyssey is the best JRPG ever I've played and def in my top 10. this game had me :wow: and :to:. Lost Odyssey sh!tty on FF13 and FF13-2 put it together. Don't get me wrong, I love FF13 and part 2 but somewhere disappointed, Part 2 much better upgrade but it sucks that you only have to play with two characters.

Question?.....Have you guys played this games? I want to buy two games from this list.

Obviously I own every game you listed.

Star Ocean has a fun battle system but a cringe worthy story and a really dumb plot twist towards the end. It also took me over an hour to beat the final boss who had like 3 million HP.

The Last Remnant is solid serviceable story and a fun battle system with challenging fights. The battles are like you commanding an army on a large scale

Infinite Undiscovery I enjoyed but i'd call it a C level game. it doesn't do anything particularly well or bad. last i knew this game canbe had dirt cheap. if you like JRPGs its worth a spin. Plus it has the dinner dance scene.

Those kids are fukking creepy.

Tales of Vesperia is probably the best JRPG on the Xbox 360 and one of the best to come out in the last 2 generations. it is however a long game and its a Tales game meaning if you don't like the characters you probably won't like the game. other than Karol who's just tolerable the rest of the cast is great IMO.

Resonance of Fate is weird. I never fully understood the battle system because its complicated and poorly explained. The plot is really weird but the battles seemed good from what i understood them.

I just bought Nier not too long ago. its an action RPG and i heard it has a hermaphrodite in it but the story is supposed to be really good and you have to beat it at least twice to fully understand it.

Yeah, the multiplayer is on point as it is with all Tales games. We're about 30% done with Graces. The plot is the weakest I've ever seen in a tales game, and the party's personalities are whack outside of like 2 characters(Pasal is funny), but the battle system is siiiiiiick. It runs on a system that uses point for every action(sidestepping, backdashing, attacking...anything but regular walking and blocking. Blocking restores your points and lets you attack again).

I'm not going to lie, I don't think it can touch Symphonia, Abyss, or Vesperia so far, but it's still Tales and it's still dope. It's definitly way better than whack ass Tales of Symphonia 2, and it's battle system is deeper and requires a lot more strategy than the big 3(ToS,ToTA,ToV).

The main character's brother is about to join the party and he's all the way about that life :ohlawd: so I'm definitely using him. Boy got a double edged Darth Maul type blade that transforms into a gun :ahh:

:comeon: Carol was my dude though breh. Started off as a soft scared punk, but he got tough and became a man so he can hold down his crew. How can you not root for that? Yuri, Raven and Rita go the hardest, but I'll definitely rock with Carol over Judy, Estelle, and dry ass Repede.
