Xbox 360 (JRPG Style Games) Question for True JRPG Fans.

Obviously I own every game you listed.

Star Ocean has a fun battle system but a cringe worthy story and a really dumb plot twist towards the end. It also took me over an hour to beat the final boss who had like 3 million HP.

The Last Remnant is solid serviceable story and a fun battle system with challenging fights. The battles are like you commanding an army on a large scale

Infinite Undiscovery I enjoyed but i'd call it a C level game. it doesn't do anything particularly well or bad. last i knew this game canbe had dirt cheap. if you like JRPGs its worth a spin. Plus it has the dinner dance scene.

Those kids are fukking creepy.

Tales of Vesperia is probably the best JRPG on the Xbox 360 and one of the best to come out in the last 2 generations. it is however a long game and its a Tales game meaning if you don't like the characters you probably won't like the game. other than Karol who's just tolerable the rest of the cast is great IMO.

Resonance of Fate is weird. I never fully understood the battle system because its complicated and poorly explained. The plot is really weird but the battles seemed good from what i understood them.


I just bought Nier not too long ago. its an action RPG and i heard it has a hermaphrodite in it but the story is supposed to be really good and you have to beat it at least twice to fully understand it.

for everything you put it together and have all of those games. I def gonna cop Tales of Vesperia today when I get home and I do really want to buy The Last Remnant but it costs f*cking $69.99 on Amazon and it even not on Xbox On Demand

I've been looking for JRPGs to buy two games. I already have FF13, FF13-2, Lost Odyssey.



Man, Lost Odyssey is the best JRPG ever I've played and def in my top 10. this game had me and . Lost Odyssey sh!tty on FF13 and FF13-2 put it together. Don't get me wrong, I love FF13 and part 2 but somewhere disappointed, Part 2 much better upgrade but it sucks that you only have to play with two characters.

Question?.....Have you guys played this games? I want to buy two games from this list.

Tales of vesperia is a must cop out of the ones listed. Good story, very entertaining characters.

I purchased star ocean 4 but returned that with the quickness after a couple of days. The dialog was lazy, gameplay was decent but it just felt as if no major effort was put into it.

Last Remnant was a really good game. The gameplay may take some adjusting at first but once you get the hang of it your golden. Try to find it at gamestop for cheaper but you'll definitely get your money's worth (the sidequest alone will keep occupied for hours).

Infinite Undiscovery is another massive game that may take you a replay to fully go through everything, at the same time it's very easy to miss out on events, items, upgrades etc. Overall a good game but lacks direction.

I can't give resonance of Fate a fair score since it received the same treatment that Star Ocean got. Couldn't get into the battle system.

If you must get TLR, I highly recommend the PC version since it irons out all the problems the 360 version has.
