Because the vast majority think that the "regular" xb1 and ps4 are good enough (sales show this). So if you are gonna market and try to sell an already niche product (the ps pro is niche as well), you gotta give cats a reason to buy it. If you read the reaction of those around the web, MS didn't do a good job of showcasing the X1X with the games they chose and most hate the price (again I don't have a problem with the price).

And now that you see that the system will use the same dynamic scaling and checkerboarding 4k in games.....I guess it's a "faux" k machine as well huh.

You gotta give cats a reason to think your 500 dollar console is worth it. They didn't to most people. You can't use indies to convince cats to cop the machine.
