I'm not outraged. I just don't see the point of purchasing this system. Microsoft obviously dropped the ball this generation and I've been a fan.

This is a serious question for you.

Every post I've seen you reply to in the past few days about this topic is basically coming at us wrong like we're the ones with the problem rather than Microsoft.

Do you work for Microsoft? Or any of their divisions? I have a hard time believing that someone's brand loyalty would have them go to the lengths of defending that you have over the past few days.

If Sony does what you're saying then they'll get roasted as well and so would any other company trying to intrude on the level MS is trying to do. You're trying to throw every other electronic device under the bus because MS is making a seemingly terrible greed based decision. Most likely because of a partnership with EA.

I'm just pointing out the clear hypocrisy of you stans. almost everything your on here complaining about holds true to the playstation and plenty of other devices.

Ps4 and X1 will be very similar experiences. Microsoft and playstaion, and the industry did this on purpose to maximize profits. Why do you think they have damn there the same system architecture? Stans will have Internet wars and Sony and Microsoft will hold hands skipping to the bank.

And I do think the changes to the industry are worrisome, but I think the advantages can make us forget about how games used to work. If they don't the industry will die. The old business model is no longer profitable, we all have to adapt of just quit playing games.

I won't even hook it up to begin with. It's nowhere near as deeply integrated into the OS as Kinect is for the One.

I have ZERO interest in it or Kinect, which I didn't buy for my 360. With Microsoft's system, I can't just not connect it, which is ridiculous.

That's fine. I'm talking about all the complaints of privacy being invaded. Most devices we use today have a camera a mic and an Internet connection. If people are so worried about privacy then they shouldn't buy smartphones, tablets, laptops, or the ps4

The concern people have is not conspiracy. How can any rational person not feel uncomfortable with a device that is always online, and is capable gathering information about you? What happened to just playing video games? Who wants to be online all the time to function?

I get your point.....but virtually everyone already carries about smartphones that do the same damn thing.
