Doubtful the gaming community will ever accept that. Its unreasonable from a NUMBER of angles, while steam's 30 days is almost a bit to generous I think.

Somewhere in the middle is the sweet spot...if Sony were to come out and say it doesn't require a connection every 24 hours? Best believe the requirement will be lifted before November.

:comeon: when is the last time you went 24 hours without an Internet connection?

So i can designate 10 of my friends as family and we can share games? How is that not a win? The price of games just dropped to 6 bucks.
Yeaaaah. I'm thinking there HAS to be a catch to this because that right there by itself is enough for me to purchase the system. I don't know about yall but I don't have 10 people that I'm THAT tight with outside of family. I mean, I have friends, but not enough to where I'm pretending I'm the most popular n!gga in the world on Facebook. So me and my circle of gaming buddies is about to feast. I even got enough room for one or two Coli brehs. Sh!t is ON. I'm still calling bullsh!t. Thats just too good to be true.

I've been without internet for about 2 weeks and I can still play Sleeping Dogs which is a PlayStation Plus game.

I don't understand why people need to defend something like that. Even as a stan you can at least admit that's bullshyt

now im convinced the xbox1 is more of a movie/tv device than a gaming system...i doubt the xbox1 exclusive games will warrant always online cloud based connectivity...im still :why::mindblown: at having to connect to the internet every 24hrs to play a game...ol' school offline plug and play is what people expect when it comes to video games...i would tell microsoft  but they know people nowadays will buy any flashy new gadget or device without much thought,,and the xbox1 will sell regardless..

You are thinking small (as usual)

No it's all y'all doing the complaining that's thinking small. The Internet is the future soon(if not already) the Internet will be a common commodity like gas or electricity. You don't complain that your stove needs a constant gas connection to work.

Furthermore the benefits far outweigh the requirment. Playing games directly from your hardrive with no disc needed is :krs: status. Same with the sharing and being able to access your entire games library from ANY Xbox, no disc required.

Also as with any console feature developers won't spend a lot of time/money on a feature that is not common amongst users. With X1 guaranteeing that its users will have the Internet developers will make games with that in mind. Titan Fall is the earliest example of this.

It's you who's thinking small and stuck in the past, X1 is the future:blessed:

it is BS Some are just in denial and want to equate to something you spend THOUSANDS of dollars on over the course of its lifespan to something as trivial as posting on the-coli as a supplement to what you use those others devices for as EQUAL...FREE OF CHARGE.

They have lost touch as to what owning a product means. I will never stand for it and neither should any other gamer. This is why I can't rock with consoles as my dedicated gaming machine...steam pulls this and I will have all my games cracked just off principle.

The 24hr / 1hr thing really kills Xbox as the console of choice for tournaments, imo.

I can see a work around using mobile tether (as hinted in the article) to sign in for offline single player, but that's not practical for big settings.

There's gotta be a catch to that game sharing shyt cuz as it stands now... :whew: :ohlawd: A time limit or inability to play the same game or something.

The game sharing is :leon:

But the 24 hour check is final huh.... :snoop:

So the console is a paperweight without an online connection.. :snoop:

So you won't be able to play at a friend's spot if he has no internet connection confirmed then. That sux.

If you have an internet connection, this isn't THAT bad. But don't lose your connection. :mjpls:

I agree they need to lift the 24 hour online DRM check, but they can't based on the way they set this up.
