Xbox One is Struggling to generate revenue

PSP was a success. The Vita was a commercial failure but a great piece of hardware.

I vaguely recall the PSP's marketing campaign to be incredibly racist while Sony tried to grab that urban demographic.

I love the damn thing, but fukk, Sony made some really stupid decisions with PSP in NA.

Vita is a walking L, and that shyt started with proprietary memory cards and that high ass price. Damn fine tech, but sheesh.

I know I would be pissed if I bought a day one Xbox One. I'm glad I didn't buy one.
One of my friends that I play a few PC games with claims the Xbox One isn't struggling and shyts on anything on the PS4. What's crazy is he pirates games on the PC and later buys the same game on the Xbox One .

Its gotten to the point I don't even talk about video games with the dude. Every time I show him articles with facts and statistics he goes into denial and tries to come up with some stupid excuse as to why the Xbox One will bounce back. It gets old very quick.

It won't change now, Xbox sells will jump this year because it actually has a few high profile exclusive titles dropping and most people have a ps4, what are they going to buy for christmas this year with halo and tomb raider dropping on the one around that time? Another Ps4 game? I doubt..

I dont understand what you will think is going to happen? Xbox has more than a few high profile titles coming....Are you saying this wont move units? Alot of units at that.... There are plenty of people that are just waiting on gears, there are alot of people just waiting on tomb raider, and there are alot of people waiting on halo...

People without xbox ones, people without next gen systems.

The console battle is far from over.

I'll accept that the Xbone will be nowhere near as popular as the PS4 will be in the end. Too many negatives that work against it from preventing.

But at the same time, the second place role promotes competition. We're gonna see good shyt from both consoles. I don't exactly see the Xbox division going under, but it'll never be as strong as it was in its OG days.

Just thinking of what's capable of this generation from all fronts is honestly exciting. But then again I see games from probably a different perspective than most posters on Arcadium

I'm pretty sure even with the revenue drop, MSFT is still making more off the One than Sony is making off the PS4.

Lol Sony is real life at risk of not existing in 5 years, Playstation is the only thing going well for them. Microsoft warchest is too deep, Sony got small pockets.

Microsoft do need big name releases and some new IPs asap, Microsoft never been good at fostering new developers.

If that were the case, the console space would've been taken over by other opportunists like Apple, Amazon, etc. the reality is the market for gaming consoles is an incredibly small market that, compared o smartphones and tablets, isn't an attractive venue to enter. Why did you think Panasonic/Samsung entered the gaming industry in the 90s?

Nintendo will always be around, no doubt, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're the only ones standing along with PC gaming.
