Being big doesn't make it conspicuous. Cable boxes are built large and quiet so they sit under your tv unnoticed for decades and they can't be knocked off the stand easily. Xbox was built with that same idea in mind.
Y'all won't admit it, but y'all had to turn your ps1 upside down to make it work too. And those disc read errors on ps2
I was on my third one before I figured out you could manipulate that little wheel thingy to make it work again.

The Xbox 360 was the only console I've ever owned where I had to buy it multiple times. I'm currently on my 3rd. I do remember a gang of people with fukked up PS2's though. I just wasn't one of them.

My psone did get to that flip upside down state, but it did just barely make it to when I copped a PS2 1/2 after its release so...
My PS2 had practically no problems during its entire gen run, but it did have 1 sole instance of DRE just before I traded it in towards a PS3. Still showed working well enough for trade-in, so no real complaints there.
Ironically, I did have my PS3 die twice. First one got replaced by Sony and the 2nd one, I traded it in to Rapestop (I showed them though
) after doing that heatgun thing to it and still hearing that it was it was going inevitably die. Now I would blame my ps3 possibly on sony, if it wasn't for the fact that that damn near every electronic appliance I owned has had heating-related deaths since living in fukk ass hot Arizona.
I keep my crib ice cold these days, even if I ain't home, fukk-a-light bill.

All you clowns that masterbate to console designs need to get a life. Most people's consoles get placed in entertainment centers anyway, hidden from public view. Its only nikkas in dorm rooms or live with their moms that have their consoles adjacent to their TV's and shyt.
At the end of the day who gives a fukk really. As long as the thing works and provides an excellent entertainment experience, is it really that serious?

Yeah, I believe it. Word of advice living out here, keep ya A/C a few degrees below 80, regardless if you home or not if you want ya electronics to survive. I'm originally from MD and while it can get hot during the summer there, summer is only 3 months a year, like most normal areas, unlike this 8 months of summer weather AZ got. I never had overheating problems with anything before coming out here.

You just need to use the small suction of the vacuum cleaner on your console once or twice a month too. It keeps all the dust out.
