Ayo. I take it that you fix xboxs? I can't get mine to read discs. I get a error whenever I put it in and hear grinding noise coming from the drive... Do you think that is something I could open up the box and fix?

Do you smoke in front of your xbox?

It is most likely dust build-up. Did you watch enough blu-rays to possibly wear out the drive? If so, you might have a lot of dust build up on the roller inside.

Yeah it's really hard to wear out the disc drives on these new consoles since games are just doing disc checks after the initial install.

Not sure why the xbox one drive gets so much dust in the drive. Probably that damn heatsink acting as some sort of home intake fan of some sort. That shyt is ridiculous how big that thing is.

External power bricks are better for a variety of reasons.

Less heat inside the case
Easier to replace without having to send it in to stay under warranty
Can in theory make the console smaller if they plan things out right.

The problem with the original XBOX One is that the shyt has a fukking enthusiast grade heatsink in that bytch. When I first opened up an xbox one I could not stop laughing. The heatsink + fan is as big as a 5.25" Blu-Ray drive and heavy as fukk...for a console

It's designed to stay on 24/7/365 for 10yrs straight. My system is set to always on and it usually is. A PC on the other hand is recommended to be turned off every once in awhile. I guess you forgot to include that into your calculations
