What are you even trying to prove with this dumb ass thread?:dwillhuh:

Phil spencer already said VR wasn't ready yet, and they would wait and watch before jumping in.

They watched VR flop, so they probably decided it wasn't worth it.

X1X is the most powerful console so hypothetically it would have had the "best" experience.

What's the point of your thread breh???
According to this dev, the answer is Yes

Xbox One to Natively Support Oculus Rift? | Hardcore Gamer

I'm still not convinced on the whole VR thing, but this is a big deal if true :ehh:

So the coli deems this news not worthy of conversation, but the next thread titled "Larrybox eats a hamburger" will do numbers

A tech forum that's totally disinterested in tech:ehh:

Subforum should be renamed "The Fanboy"

Smart choice imo.

I thought it would be supported but I'm not mad its not.

These aren't the consoles that should be pushing VR.

How many VR titles shown are people planning on buying?

The news is real.
The rest is jokes.
Just like your xbox live gamer activity :umad:
Actually the news might not even be true.

The WSJ article is locked behind a paywall, and they are the only ones reporting this. Seems with so much press at e3 someone else would be reporting this.

Also they asked Lary Herb on a live stream yesterday and he said they will talk more about VR later.

If it was a definitive "no" I don't see why he'd keep pretending it wasn't.

So....your "news" might be trash too.

shytty thread all around:francis:

Xbots will say they never wanted VR anyway, despite bragging that it would be better on Scorpio.
That's why I love being able to go back and hitting people w/ their quotes. I'm happy I never fukked with VR from jump.

:ohhh:
Thank God.

I don't want future focus to be on peripherals anymore. :hubie:

We had to deal with that from Xbox 360 to the early stages of Xbox One. :snoop:

If VR is really going to pop off... it won't really pop off with consistent and amazing experiences w/o the kinks until the next generation of consoles. Msft became lazy as fukk by trying to divide their teams up to balance kinect shyt and regular games. Let the missteps and the early stage gimmicks be tested somewhere else.

Now, w/ only a system and the controller in the consumer's hand - they have no choice but to provide content specifically for their console specifically.:feedme:

I would have been tight if they featured Oculus or Samsung VR or whatever version of VR they will be using.

Wait...

For shyts and giggles...

How much is a PSVR?

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=PSVR

$399?

Are we saying that the experience y'all have had w/ VR and with the games that were shown at the conference, PSVR was shown as a viable peripheral that justified it's price?

VR flopped a long time ago :mjlol:
Basically, but to play along with these clowns. Where does it say Xbox won't support VR in the future :sas2:

Because if I'm not mistaken, they just revealed Scorpio right?
So why the fukk would they reveal the VR on top of that when they not even ready to push that device yet

This is as non of a non story as it gets. These nikkaz trying they hardest to discredit scorpio :laff:

Phil Spencer: Xbox One X still supports virtual reality
The head of Microsoft's video game unit tells CNET the new console is VR-capable.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer on stage at E3.

The Xbox One X, Microsoft's new video game console announced Sunday at E3, still supports virtual reality, said team head Phil Spencer.

Spencer told CNET on Tuesday that the Xbox One X fully supports virtual reality and that their commitment to it hasn't changed. While Spencer didn't mention VR on stage during Xbox's Sunday presentation, he said he stands by what he said a year ago at the same event. When Microsoft teased the console at E3 last year, then known as Project Scorpio, it gave the impression that it would support virtual reality.

This comment refutes an early story from The Wall Street Journal that the console wouldn't support virtual reality. Curiously enough, Spencer said he hadn't yet seen the WSJ story.

What Spencer did tell GameSpot today is that he hadn't gotten a lot of requests for mixed reality games for the consoles, but that he'll continue focus on what users want, which leaves an opening for future mixed reality and VR games for the Xbox One X.

The Xbox team has been pretty mum about the issue. Earlier CNET reported that Mike Ybarra, Microsoft's corporate vice president for Xbox and Windows, didn't deny or confirm whether the new Xbox would still support virtual reality.

Also, in a statement to CNET, Xbox affirmed its commitment to "delivering great mixed reality gaming," but said it believes the right place is the Windows PC.

@Kamikaze Revy

Good drop.

Sounds like his tenure as head of Xbox is not to cast a bunch of fishing lines with the hope of catching the big fish regarding peripherals and the like. It might work well for the company to be a bit more reactionary and organic regarding what users want.

I listened to that Phil Spencer Gamespot interview that @Leasy shared - he was a former programmer and appears to want to take the company in a positive gamer focused direction. It's going to be interesting to watch where he takes the brand. :ehh:
