for what ? when they can just play xbox games on PC
There's reasons outside of more power to go with a console.

We will see what it's priced, but if the price/power ratio is better than what can be had on PC then that would be an incentive. There's also the 4K media stuff.

Also if you already have a powerful PC you could buy the Xbox to put in another room in the house, and still share games between the two.

There's a whole host of different situations people are in.

Mass production hasn't started yet on the NEO OR Scorpio so until NEO specs are officially announced we'll see.

I do think NEO was gonna drop early next year, but now? I think it's getting pushed back due to Scorpio. Can't say I'm mad though, but it would have been nice to have 1080p60 sooner rather than later.

No way Sony can push back their production as it is not feasible and will cost millions of dollars probably void the current agreement with AMD.

Sony drop the ball and got comfortable. To be honest they probably didn't want to create new systems as they were in the lead. The new for a better hardware was needed for VR but Microsoft completely scrapped Xbox One and created a new system. If they get developers on board with this new hardware shyt might get scary for Sony.

I know that's not the same. The point was that things can be changed.

The con would obviously be pushing back the release of the NEO to re-engineer it. Is Sony willing to do it? And more importantly, can you still do this while offering the console at a reasonable price because as it stands right now even with Scorpio, those expecting 4k60 for 400 or even 500 bucks are kidding themselves.

A 4k60 console that can handle AAA games at that resolution with a console like price of 400-500 dollars? It's just REALLY hard to see that.

Read my above quote. You may see a new Sony system come 2018.
bro everybody doesnt give a fukk about 4k gaming and everybody doesnt give a fukk about playing on PC if everybody did then nobody would have consoles i wish you nikkas would get that some people simply do NOT give a fukk

nikka calm ya ass down. The main ones getting hype over some 4k shyt but don't want to hear the truth about it. Nobody cares about PC when that shyt is constantly almost outpacing Consoles on growth. Go sit ya dumb ass down. Play 1080P while spending 499 brehs in 2016 and 2017.

I think this will be the case of a reationary act by MS, thinking Power was the downfall of XB1, When the real reason is simple. Playstation Brand is just a stronger brand name and synonymous with gaming. Sony has to many people in their ecosystem. Just look at the youtube views on xb1 games compared to PS. It is overwhelmingly PS.

And this is just a person pet peeve of mine. MS tends to fold the tent when it gets it hat handed to them. They did it with the more powerful OG XB, and now they are doing to the XB1.

No excuses why you should be spending 300 to 400 to 500 for a got damn console only doing 1080P. If Microsoft can really just do 2K and 4K you dudes would be idiots buying that fukking Playstation. Then you have cats talking about nobody cares for 4k nikka are you stupid that shyt is the future especially with that VR shyt @Brief Keef

.

It prob is too late the more I think about it to push NEO back. Better to just go ahead and get started on PS5 (which they're already planning anyway).

Getting to 1080p60 at 399$ is more feasible and profitable with the NEO. 4K TV set adoption just isn't there yet.

I told Meach we'd probably see a PS5 in 2018, but he laughs. :snoop:
That actually makes more sense that Sony will drop a PS5 in 2018.

The thing with Scorpio will be 4K adoption to truly experience it. Now while it will def provide 1080p60 with ease, how big of a hit are they willing to take pricewise? No way that shyt drops for 399. 499 might even be a stretch.

A holiday season 349 NEO and 249 or 199 PS4 vs a 500 dollar Scorpio? With Playstation's brand strength, maybe this is getting overblown. :patrice:

Trying what? :skip:

You don't think they'll release a PS5 to compete against the Scorpio? :wtf:
The reason for the mid-gen update is because this gen will last at least as long as last gen.

They aren't gonna turn around and make a PS5 one year after PSneo.

The power/performance ratio wouldn't be there to justify new hardware at that point.

All you can see is Stan shyt. :mjlol:

How is that stan shyt? You turning into Courtdog status... :snoop:

It wouldn't be a year later if they still release the NEO on schedule (Early next year). PS5 dropping in holiday season 2018 is a year apart? What kinda new math shyt is that? :beli:

They are not going to let MS have more than a year headstart. But I already said the price of the Scorpio will be key.

Do you realistically think they can drop it at 399? or even 499? :ld:

i really like the direction microsoft is going and like the steps they're taking to get there. i think they have the better odds of putting out a "one-stop-shop" system for gaming, media and streaming because of Windows and that nice UI, but they're still somewhat new to the console industry (X1 is only their third console and their lack of experience showed during the launch of X1 imo) so we'll see how they play their cards with this.

Sony is really good at knowing what gamers want and delivering it, like not it's not even close. they're the king of gaming and will always hold that title imo, but their lack of features and software will hurt them if they are planning to compete with gaming/streaming/media systems. as long as Sony put out a powerful console and improve on their streaming services and UI then they'll still be the top dog. they're in such a good space that they don't have to do anything drastic.

Cause with every response you are trying to find an angle where Xbox won't be the most powerful, or at least not for very long.

First it was. "Sony is gonna delay Neo to beat Scorpio"
Then it was "Microsoft is gonna delay Scorpio to get costs down.
Now it's "Sony is gonna put out PS5 the next year"

Stop playing Breh :mjlol:

A year and a half?

So they throwing Neo in the bushes after just a year and a half, just so they can have higher specs than Microsoft? :laff:

They are not going to let MS have more than a year headstart. But I already said the price of the Scorpio will be key.

Headstart at what?

You now pivoting to calling this a new gen?

That's how you're gonna deal with it? :mjlol:

"ECOSYSTEM" The OG XB came out after the PS2 significantly more powerful, and this will be the case with Scorpio. Power is just one part of the story but it not the entire story. Ecosystem is not about just Big AAA 1st party studios, it's about small quirky games as well, Sony takes more risk on what the fukk is that type of games. And contrary to what you may say they have a shyt load of what is percieved as A or AA games that are 10 times better than some of those AAA titles.

The core streaming services are already there that the general public and casuals use.

Playstaton VUE is there too, so they aren't really hurting for lack of features that really matter.

But I def think that Sony needs to lighten up on the restrictions with streaming media within your home network through the PS4 like you could the PS3.

The adoption not the issue as it will be 2017 and you can buy a 4K 40 inch for 3 and some change now so imagine next year. Microsoft always innovate shyt though breh and I don't know why people forget. 720P Hard drives Online play I mean come on this is what they do.
