Something tells me Microsoft dumped this info cos they’ve heard Sony is about to unveil its specs and it’s probably more powerful. You don’t want to reveal yours after that and then turns out it’s less powerful.

These specs line up with what Klee said before to which you dismissed saying he was some sort of Sony fan.

From 2 months ago:

He stated that PS5 would be slightly above that(TF). MSFT confirming 12teraflops and RDNA 2 most likely points to Sony having the same architecture since they're both using AMD for their parts. That 9TF rumor is looking unfounded now and points to Sony being either 11~13tf(Klee did say PS5 devkit at the time was slightly more powerful ) but who knows :yeshrug:

He's far from the only person to say 12. I don't believe the ps5 is 12 given what has come out. I'm pretty sure Microsoft is going to take a hit when this thing retails at 499. We have articles coming out about the ps5 costing too much for some and the bill of materials are around 450. You are not going to get a comparable console when Sony was shooting for a cheaper price point. I fully believe that Sony went into next gen with a 399 mindset, Microsoft with a 499. Everything that had come out has only strengthened that belief.

Truth be told, I hope I'm dead ass wrong about the ps5 and the specs it will have and hopefully in the ball park of the xsx. I could care less about their silence on the ps5 but I do care about when Sony is getting articles from business organizations about Sony feeling the pain at $450 development costs when it appears that Microsoft has gone far above that number, before shortages were even announced. We will all know in due time but don't be surprised if this is the most powerful this time around.

I think it means you can suspend multiple games at one time. Say your playing CyberPunk, and you hit the home button and then jump into Halo. Play Halo for an hour or two and then jump back into CyberPunk exactly where you left off.

I get the concept, I just don’t understand what the point is lol

  • [*]HDMI 2.1 Innovation: We’ve partnered with the HDMI forum and TV manufacturers to enable the best gaming experience through features such as Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). ALLM allows Xbox One and Xbox Series X to automatically set the connected display to its lowest latency mode. VRR synchronizes the display’s refresh rate to the game’s frame rate, maintaining smooth visuals without tearing. Ensuring minimal lag and the most responsive gaming experience.
[*]120 fps Support: With support for up to 120 fps, Xbox Series X allows developers to exceed standard 60 fps output in favor of heightened realism or fast-paced action.

I think they'll be both similar. Jason Schreier had already said they're both with similar specs. A 9TF and 12TF wouldn't be exactly similar. At the leas

Jason Schreier says the PS5 is more powerful than the RTX 2080 and will have around 10-12Teraflops of power - Gaming Route

Ive wanted this on the switch a lot, I jump between alot of games on the system and a lot of times on the switch with how you can just pause a game at anytime. You stop in the middle of something or you don't want to lose the spot you were at but want to play something else.

With this I could be playing something like dead cells, stop start playing Halo, stop and start playing yakuza and then turn around and pick up were I was playing in dead cells last week.

It would be wild if Microsoft ate the price and sold it at 399

That would be kinda major

They would already be losing a lot of money at 499 ....

399 nah

You’d have to make all that money back in subscription services , you would need a flip of hardware sales from this gen to do that ... no way
