I think people should wait to see everything first. The PS3 and 360 had differences that overall resulted in PS3 having more impressive looking games despite having a slightly weaker GPU. In this case the 12TF number is just one aspect of the system and doesn't reveal the full picture. People acting like if the PS5 is 1 or 2 TFlops weaker then it's going to be this huge disappointment. People worry about numbers way too much. I didn't think of 4.2 teraflops when I was picking up my jaw from playing God of War or Horizon. Plus the GPU is only one component. A system doesn't just run with a GPU.
The most loud mouth whiners of this gen crying about 60fps would be happy to know that the CPU jump means a lot for performance and for even more complex gameplay.

yeah, the CPU jumps are absolutely the godsend needed. Current gen cpus were garbage that killed dreams of consistent 60fps framerates. Better not see that bullshyt next gen. no excuse for 30 anymore.
If PS5 is 9TF that's still 8x more than a ps4 and we see what Naughty Dog got out of 1.8TF so the games are going to look incredible regardless. Even in multiplatform games the biggest difference last gen was resolution and at 9TF you're gonna get games at 1440p or higher so it's not going to be the sharp vs blurry contrast you saw between x1 and ps4.
I think 30fps is still going to be here because some devs will prioritize bigger games with more going on. Like even a game like Cyberpunk that looks crazy right now can be bumped up with more shyt but we'll see. It's always going to be trade offs.

Well think about it they forced Sony hand with the Xbox One X mid tier upgrade by making it powerful but also making Sony next attempt outrageously high to be better than the one X. Sony is competing against two systems

I'll never shyt on this man. He's a visionary. Had the streets contemplating two jobs for the PS3. He did damn near bankrupt Sony though. I knew with Kaz in the wings, purse strings would be watched. With Ken? He was making it rain in Foxconn factories. Ken had no budget, Mark Cerny does. That said, Mark is one of the best ever at console construction. If Sony ultimately has a lesser spec than Microsoft I solely believe that Sony thought Microsoft would try to be at 399 and not 499 like most of us suspect their console to be.
Microsoft, for their successes and fails, have always had a one foot in, one foot out engagement with gaming and while throwing enough money at this has given them a foothold, this is the first time since the launch of the 360 that I feel that Microsoft has their heads out of their asses AND unlike the 360, the CEO is fully behind the movement because Steve Ballmer was not. All of that is to say that, I think Microsoft has caught Sony by surprise and their continued unveiling of the next generation of Xbox will show that Microsoft ain't pump faking or bullshytting.
