It was Death Row-esque.

Dre himself admitted Kendrick did it all without him, said he was his first artist that didn't need his help... he's a self-accomplished artist.
Also, its been known Kendrick didn't want any Dre beat for his albums, he even said he was holding Quik to higher regards than Dre.

Kendrick knew better than to give Dre too much control. We'd still be waiting for his debut right now if that was the case. I really wish Dre would just drop that stupid mindset and just drop records. Probably has so many classic verses and beats in vaults.

Did you not hear Missionary? Dre ain’t got noooo classic beats in his vaults (that ain’t been hemmed up by sample clearance issues). That myth squashed. He’s not been releasing classic stuff coz he ain’t got it no more…and the production staff he hires now are ass.

The Big Bang was the end of Dre’s Day.
