Dre himself admitted Kendrick did it all without him, said he was his first artist that didn't need his help... he's a self-accomplished artist.
Also, its been known Kendrick didn't want any Dre beat for his albums, he even said he was holding Quik to higher regards than Dre.

Simple branding. Smart.
I remember reading a TIME magazine article in 2001 where they made a mention that Kokane was in the studio with Dr. Dre and Dre told the reporter "He must not want to get his music played on anyone's station by naming himself Kokane." I think the TIME article actually spelled it as Cocaine.
EDIT - Here it is.
Agreed. Not one of Dre’s best. The article also mentioned Dre and No Doubt doing a track together. My morbid curiosity wants to hear that—even if there’s a 90% chance it sounds like Mountain Dew and hair gel. That Truck Volume track mentioned in the piece is absolute ass![]()
Quiks mixing is light years ahead of Dre. Dre was just the pioneer of the loud wars. He abused limiters to get a very loud sound. It automatically sounded like the best shyt. I'm talking chronic 2001 era. But his NWA mixes and first chronic hold up better today. Than chronic 2001. It has clipping and distortion. Quik can get music loud without compromising dynamics and making it sound squished. He is a scientist.Kendrick said that Quik is his favorite producer who's also a rapper. He's said a million times that Dre is the GOAT. But he said sonically Quik's mixing is "up there" with Dre.
Ali said that when Dre came around, the plan was for TDE to stay as "self-contained as possible". So they wanted to highlight their own producers and not have Dre come in and people credit him for what Kendrick was already doing. Dre told them he wanted to mix the first album. So he taught Ali the SSL, since most of the TDE work before that wasn't done with any stems or track-out's. But Ali said Kendrick's favorite producer was always Dre, but he wanted to stand on his own and not feel like he only succeeded because of Dre's co-sign.
