Simply not true. I just named my favorite 30 albums a thread and purchased over 100, most of which I least thought were average at worst.

Only a few we're awful. Napalm, slaughterhouse, Saigon, nitty Scott the mc, half of copywrights Christian album, saukrates pop rap album, chino xl, ruste jux, odd future tape 2, Zion i, casual and DJ flash....the de la first serve

Those were the weakest I bought off top.

I liked that album. :ld:

GKMC in 2012 = SSLP in 1999

sllp released in feb 1999... "2001" released in november 1999------

Dre waited to see the acclaim and commercial succes of his DEBUt artist EMINEM before he released 2001

hes doin EXACTLY the dame with kendrick... the monentum and hype is building.. DRE knows when to strike when the irons hot

2013 :wow:

the most interesting subject tho is the dynamic between EM (the past) and kendrick Dre new protege... the battle MC in EM makes me think that while EM respects kendrick as an MC and artist... the comeptiveness within him will elevate his MCin to prove that this nw dude aint got nothin on him... wonder if they will be friends or if will look at him as only an obstacle he needs t crush to firther cement his legacy

2013 :blessed:

EM's solo will drop around MAY/JUNE with Dre solo droppin end of NOV early DEC.. history repeats itself :wow:
:usure: Kendricks so called success/buzz is nothing like snoop's,em's or 50's. Dre would be a fool to try and springboard off of kendrick like he did eminem. He needs something MUCH STRONGER to return to his throne.

Detox is never coming out

Dre should have dropped it after The Massacre when his whole camp was buzzing

he will :eat: off that EM album droppin may/june EM last album is the highest selling hip-hop album in 8yrs.. i think that covers the "something much stronger" to return to his throne//

he will drop in nov/dec but he will be the most visible hes been in the mainstream since the height of the EM years...

he has the highest selling hip-hop artist and the highest sellinf debut/ most critically accalimed hip-hop artist of o12/13

what else could he want/need.. all the ignredints are there

IF that aint enough for Dr. Dre we have no chance of ever hearing the long awaited Detox.

Dre might ride the Kendrick hype to finish Detox. We know they've recorded dozens of songs together...and none of them appeared on GKMC. Where else would they go?

But it's not all about timing and hype. It's about having classic songs. 2001 wasn't perfect. But it had classic songs.

I think Dre was hoping Kush & I Need A Doctor would hit like Still Dre & Forgot About Dre...but they didn't.

Also, if they've been recording for a decade, I'm guessing the sound of the Detox sessions is all over the place, and there are dated references / flows / guest rappers (Bishop Lamont, Stat Quo, etc.) We could make an album from the leaks so far, and it's alright, but nothing special.

I hope Dre scraps the vocals on his best Detox Sessions beats, and throws Black Hippy all over them. They should dominate, like Snoop on the first, and Hittman on the second. Add some Snoop, Ice Cube, WC, Xzibit, Crooked I, Royce da 5'9", MC Eiht, DJ Quik, Too Short, Dogg Pound, Devin The Dude, unreleased Nate Dogg hooks, unreleased pre-Encore Eminem verses, some Jay-Z ghostwriting, and one verse from Hittman, out of pity.

Honestly I don't even care if Detox ever comes out at this point.
