Japan, but from the 989
Drake's star is already beginning to fade. He needs to get his label up and running because someone is coming to take his spot. It happens all the time, longevity in the rap game is very short. You got three albums max before you start falling. Build a label, be the Boss over there to keep popular. But if he is still on Young Money in a couple of years he is going to be in the background. Nicki was smart and started to venture out into other things. So she will last a little longer, but Drake needs to make a move or it's going to be wrap.

If the hits stop coming yes but I don't see that happening anytime soon. The only thing he's ever put his name on that flopped was Fed Up with Dj Khaled

Nothing stays the same, and it'll depend entirely on how he adapts. DMX isn't a fair example because we all know he's an addict. He alone let his momentum slow down, and unlike some other rappers, he was never an entrepreneur.

Jay has seen success, because for some reason, people bring up his business skills when mentioning his popularity. I'll never understand that. "Jay makes money, so he's the king of rap". Its weird really. When Master P and Puff were on the same lane, no one made that argument.

The biggest ones that are fair, are Nelly and LL Cool J. Nelly was everything Drake is today, except no one ever looked at him like the face of hip hop. LL was at one point that face, but if he hadn't dropped Mamma Said Knock You Out, i don't know if his career would have extended another 10 years. LL had to go back to his roots in order to spark his reemurgance. He was always a technically sound MC.

when drake falls off rocky and kendrick will take over. like it or not the vibe of mainstream urban music is changing. drake is not built for this. nikka need to fall back and do songs with selena gomez or some shyt.

:what: Musically Drake and Kendrick Lamar are not talking about the same subjects. And I like both of them as artists. Drake has created a niche musically and its working well for him.and he can headline his own tour in the biggest venues on his own. He will fall off when he wants to unless a better version of him comes out which is not likely. He might get bored of music and maybe start getting into acting again. I can see him spreading out his album releases more while still giving the people good features to remain relevant while he dabbles in film or tv shows.

I don't actually see Drake falling off, at least not like any of the dudes in that list.

From what I can tell, it seems like Drake is loved by the young crowd (13-25ish) whereas the rest of those guys were generally teen favorites. He also makes moves at the right time and knows how to stay relevant.

The only thing he has to worry about is someone taking that spot, but with the climate of rap right now I just don't see that happening anytime soon.

:heh: You do realize this dude gots the Jewish connect. He already gots his label, ovo clothing sells very well at his concerts. If he wants to expand he can and probably will. He also has the only hip hop festival in Canada that continues to flourish. Dude probably got millions invested in stocks and other ventures that he would not let you know about...thats how Jews operate. They will make money and you will not know where it came from. Let Nicki do Nicki, ain't know way she got the kind of people in her circle on the level that Drake got. Y'all nikkas out here thinking he is going to fall off and be broke like MC Hammer.

You guys are :smh:

Drake isnt going anywhere for a long time. Hes a smart guy..i can see him taking a 2-3 year break right when people are ready to move on to some else..then drop smashes like 5am in toronto here and there..have people feinding for that drake season all over again and coming right back for the throne.

How people can say drake cant rap or sucks is hilarious. You may not like the content in his albums but drake can drop a straight hip hop 32 bar song with no hook at any given time. And it will be flames. Drake is one of the only nikkas in this oversaturated game to still have major quotables. I still hear people sayin you wasnt wit me shootin in the gym..

Stop using your dislike for him as reason to think he sucks or will fall off soon. Outside of the 10-15 idiots on here who talk shyt about drake, he has millions of fans in all demographics

What are these quotables y'all keep talking about his bars are pretty medicore
