I'm partial to HA1 because that was one of the first movies I owned as a little kid. Had that mug running all the time on VHS back in like 1990/1991.

HA2 is funny as hell and a great sequel.

That family had money. Kevin's dad got all that loot but the uncle living in Paris was somehow richer. Convinced they're Irish Mob or something. Uncle Frank was too dumb to get involved, so they kept him out the biz.

Other than a commercial I’m actually surprised that Culkin. Hasn’t returned for a continuation to the Home Alone series. Especially seeing how Hollywood been pumping out remakes, reboots, and nostalgia bait. Seems like homie isn’t fukking with Hollywood anymore lol.

If he really got 5% profits and merchandising from the HA 2 movie then he’s rich AF just off that alone. He also did Uncle Buck, Richie Rich, My Girl, etc.


Plus he’s got a bad little Asian broad as his wifey. He’s set for life!!

2 is definitely the overall better film because instead of Kevin being a jerk to his family for the first half of the movie, which makes him out to be more of a brat than a sympathetic child hero, it places him alone in New York amongst strangers and establishes that Tim Curry and Rob Schneider’s characters are a$$holes off the rip so you root for Kevin to outsmart them and then when Marv and Harry show up its business as usual.

Kevin is easier to root for in part 2 than part 1. Plus Macauley Culkin’s comedic timing and delivery were on POINT.

Its crazy to think how him and the Olsen Twins were the most famous kids when i was growing up. Now all three pretty much stay out of the limelight.
