Already planning my 4th of July cookout. Doing a few racks of Spare Ribs, a pork butt, some chicken wings, hot dogs and brats. Going to smoke the ribs and pork butt low and slow. Probably will take around 10 hours for the pork butt. Going to be a grind, but will be well worth it.

Weber gets nothing but praise from what I've been reading.:ohhh:

Why would an inexperienced griller spend $1200 on their first grill? It makes no sense to spend alot. Get a cheap weber to learn on then get something more expensive if you want.

The top charcoal grills just off a quick search says weber is the best.

I don't agree with buddy. Weber is undefeated and very versatile. Can do whatever you want it to. I still do most of my grilling on 2 22inch Weber Premiums/Master Touches.

I got two and three in my backyard. My 5-hour smoked ribs are unfukkwitable. First cue of the summer going down Memorial weekend.

What's the best way to use a meat thermomoter? I sometimes get different temps depending on the depth.

I use this while smoking to monitor my temps from my phone

Every other meat I just eyeball it.

I would suggest anyone that is just starting to get a Weber kettle. Its versatile and wont rust out quick like those cheap ass walmart grills. Just use the indirect cooking method and your gold.

Just get one of those vortexes for the coals

Best advice I can give you is make sure you got the dirty smoke gone before you put your food on. Make sure that smoke is clear

Everything else is trial and error :heh:

I grew up hanging around my pops when he was on the grill and he’d make me help sometimes. I still ended up fukking up plenty of food when I started but I’ve gotten nice with it over the years. You’ll learn all the ends and outs over time and what works for different types of food. shyt is a art. If you love doing it you prolly gonna want to start smoking too

t-dot till they bury me
Yes
Have a 6 burner propane Ducane
And
A Weber kettle charcoal
I'm cooking copious amounts of mammals and fish :ohlawd:

I'm a wiz on the grill

Key is timing, heat management

I want to get a smoker, or pellet grill next :ehh:
