That's the problem. The Constitution doesn't apply to us at all. When it says "all men", it meant white men who owned property. I mean, they even limited the right to vote to white men who owned property. That's why I say democracy, at least the way it is applied in America, empowers racism (and several other -isms). The people, as in we the people, has been for "exclusively white people". So when you break down what democracy is, you see who democracy works for in America and who it works against.
