Human progress? Hopefully the hope that we can live in a world where we trust each other enough where we don't need them.
That's a pipe dream. We don't live in that world and never will, and living your life based off what you wish was reality rather than what is your reality is dangerous.

One thing about it, we need to stop throwing the word c00n around so freely. I would hardly consider Lupe a c00n.

As well, I would never call another black man a c00n in a place where non black people frequent. You will NEVER catch me criticizing the black community or another black person in public or on the internet. Those conversations are to be held privately amongst your people.

So while I'm not a fan of his stance, I'm not about to sit here and talk shyt about this man who puts out positive music and is one of the few rappers that don't influence the youth in a negative way.

Didn't breh put on a KKK outfit to prove a point? :patrice:

I didn't disrespect you or treat you like a "lil nikka", don't project your insecurities on me.

I disagree because the cops decision in both the Sterling and Castile incidents were fueled mostly by racism and fear of black men that have been instilled in this country for years. The procedure they go about handling situations with black men, are always more hostile and volatile because instinctively they see us as a threat and a target, even when no immediate danger is present. In the Alton situation, while he had a gun, he was already pinned to the ground with two officers on top of him. There was no immediate reasonable threat of a gun being used. The "bad decision" comes from
Being scared of black men. The Castile case is even more maddening because they killed him after he was simply following their directions. All because that fear they have for black men.

I hear you bro, and I agree with everything you said 100% White people are legit petrified of black men. Not just the ones who fit a certain stereo type. Where we disagree is the assertion that Lupe is c00ning. I don't agree with the point that he is trying to make, but I don't think he is purposely trying to be destructive to the black community. I think he has our best interest at heart. He just happens to have a stance that I don't agree with.

I'm from Chicago and don't even consider myself a Lupe fan. His shyt is just too much for me sometimes. But this man does make positive music aimed at our community about, self esteem, black pride, black issues, etc... So if you look at what he stands for as a whole through his whole career, any so called "c00ning" moments are outweighed by everything else he has done. I think his heart is in the right place.

Salute bro. I'm glad you're level headed, and we were able to have a real discussion about this. Props! Apologies if I came off dismissive at first.

:salute:

No doubt bro. They key is our community being able to have productive discussions like these with each other. We need to collaborate more and learn from each other to try to figure this shyt out. The greatest trick the white man played was dividing us amongst ourselves.

:what:I will never understand why the group of people who are most at risk to be attacked and harmed by white supremacists (cops and civilians) are the biggest supporters of gun control?

Yeah and making life choices based on the view that the world around you is negative instead of trying to bring positivity to the world around you is dangerous also. Life is dangerous. You have to decide whether you want your future to be the way your present is or if you want to fight to make it better.

I don't make socio-political choices based on my race...I make decisions based on what I think is right

Don't confuse bad decisions with racism. Makes a lot of sense.

Don't confuse good decisions with racism.
Again, it make sense.

3rd tweet made sense.

4th tweet. Is questionable. I understand what he's trying to say but that takes away a person liberties.

c00n? No

Try again sir. I'm sure you won't see him calling people fakkit and bleaching his skin anytime soon either

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
The ramblings of a nikka who takes himself too seriously and thinks he's smarter than everyone around him. Which is why like I said. Stop depending on these rap nikkas to speak on these kinds of issues. I will call him an arrogant dikk head before calling him a flat out c00n tho . I will say this is a c00n action.
