Great song. Nas killed it. At the end of the day Nas has made a lot of great songs with ill production, he's had missteps production wise certainly but he's also rapped on a lot of good beats too and with dope producers.

That's not some kind of universal, blanket statement though.....'Renegade', 'Til I Collapse', 'Sing For The Moment', 'Runnin' (Big & Pac), 'Don't Come Down', (Obie Trice), 'Spend Some Time (one of of a few Em songs I really like), thos beats are all hot to me...and that's just a handful.

He did a lot of the 50 Cent, Aftermath shyt through 2004/2005....

You can't really take Nas serious when he says things like that. I mean, he said "Nas Escobar moving on your weak production" on a Havoc beat. When Nas said "ya'll can keep your weak beats from your corny producers", it was more of shot at people criticizing his selection of beats than it was at producer. Remember, Nas had a song that was scrapped from God's Son because he was going at artists and producers on the song by name.

the fact that nas is considered the GOAT by many despite flowing to questionable instrumentals is just a testament to his greatness

he didn't need to load up his albums with beats from timbo, just blaze, kanye, pharrell, dr. dre, etc to maintain relevancy like certain other rappers
