The Great Paper Chaser
The media won't turn on Durant as long as he stays in OKC. Westbrook is another story.
How is this a fair comparison? KD is only in his fifth year and has already accomplished more then melo. The heat will be on Melo. He's only been out the first round once despite always playing on loaded teams

Also .....
1. LeBron - Champ
2. Darko - Champ
3. Melo - ?????
4. Bosh - Champ
5. Wade - Champ
He's the only one from the top 5 of that 03 draft without a title now. If I were him I'd be in the gym right now, fukk that.

I understand the logic behind this, but Darko doesn't really count (Darko), Lebron is supposedly "The One" so he's been held to another standard since he came into the League, Wade won with the MDE (and now with "The One") and Bosh won with Wade and "The One". Melo just isn't on that Lebron level (and I'm a Knicks fan/cHeat hater) and has never played with top-notch level (don't dare mention Stoudemire
). Let's not forget he was playing in the West going against the Lakers, Spurs, Mavs...while Bron was going against Washington and Indiana. He's only been two years with a dysfunctional NY franchise, with who he STILL hasn't had a full training camp/season. BUT he really needs to make the ECF or at least go out in a Game 7 in the semis next year.
Anyway I don't really think people care that much about Melo, he's never really been in the media's face promising multiple championships either, and as someone said as long as he gives his best NY media and fans will be forgiving, honest fans know his/the teams current limitations.
I don't see the media getting on Durant's case either, way too soon, I think Dwight's next in line.
