Y'all Do Know That The Melo And Durant Ringless Slander Is Coming, Right?

There's two threads on this exact same topic, and in both threads the same nikkas are running in trying to convince people that nobody cares about Melo. Obviously y'all do if you're making a point to convince nikkas. International jersey sales just came out yesterday and Melo is two spots higher than Durant. Melo was top 5 from this past season.. A month ago there were a number of you lames arguing that Chandler won DPOY because of the powerful NY media, yet in this case you say he's only cared about in NY as if (assuming that were true)that woul diminish his importance. It's sad; bring up anything NY related to a normally logical, rational dude and watch the bytch come out

LeBron and Kobe are on their own level of relevance and popularity. Everyone else just fits in below that. To answer the thread, Melo and Dwight will be the ones who catch the slander. They have the worst reps in the media for whatever reasons. Durant, CP3 and Deron Williams are all either beloved or low key.

It's not that nobody cares about Melo in general, because he's super popular. It's just that nobody cares about him winning a ring, because it's not expected of him. As far as chasing a title goes, Melo and the Knicks are irrelevant. Nobody will be saying "Now the pressure is on Melo to bring his team a championship", because everybody knows that the Knicks have a .0000001% chance of even getting to the finals.

For Melo it's about getting out of the first round and that's as far as it goes for him right now. Getting a ring isn't even on the Knicks radar.

The Knicks are a good team, but they are not a contender...even if they were fully healthy. Being above 500 and getting to the second round would be considered a successful season for the Knicks.

No that's the Knicks expectations to contend too hence all the reason melo gets criticized for his playoff record . The Knicks aren't the hawks they brought in a top 5 player top 15 player and signed the dpoy to be Contrdners and we will contend . We are the best chance to beat the heat in the east next year ( notice how I said chance) just because we haven't won a title after less than a year together doesn't mean we won't contend next year .

That 2009 team Melo had wasn't stacked? The fact Melo plays in New York now instead of Denver means he'll get no more free passes from the media. He didn't really get roasted this year and last because his team had major injuries. If they get eliminated in the first round this upcoming season with an healthy squad he'll be ran out of New York.
