Yes and that was all the decision-making and dealing of the front office. That's my point, you can't give Melo advice like "you'll have to go the Pierce route" when Pierce didn't actually play any part in teaming up with KG and Ray.

That's not accurate, because Pierce pretty much gave the front office an Ultimatum that he'd demand a trade if they didn't do whatever it took to bring in some more talent.

How much slander hasgotten though? The Nets just copped a first round L to a team missing it's two best players and I haven't heard much slander.

To be fair Melo didn't really catch any criticism until this year. He's gotten his share passes too.
