I count my blessings each day.
Grew up with no pops then had to move to the U.S with 6 other siblings broke...at age 12.
My 1st job I had,( was un official )but when I was like 7 or so, I used to go the grocery store and bag groceries. I would catch the bus by myself and go. I literally would walk behind a register and start bagging for tips. Made about $20 a day.
I would stay after school as well and clean the chalk board for the teachers for loose change.
From 16 got my 1st official job working as a camp counselor for inner city kids in Rochester. Ive probably worked 30 different jobs in my life from office mover, to circuit city clerk, to DSP to hotel clerk, chef, therapeutic counselor, call centers etc then went unemployed for a bit over a year and got my wakeup call.
I didnt pick myself up until after my grandmother passed in 2012. In the last 90 days ive counted over 30k. I dont own a degree but this GED I got when I was 16(ive been to colleges and universities tho)
People used to talk shyt but now they put respect on my name
Its never to late for most people tho, IMO. Focus and drive determines a lot. Some people just are fine with complacency
