I did it for years, started IT at 40, recently got fired so I'm not working. I told myself I'm gonna give it a few months but if I'm just a low wage brotha (and I know a lot of folks like that in SFLA) I'm moving to Arkansas or something and will accept my fate.

But I'm not gonna work a shytty job around most you people, no offense but you'll make a nikka off himself due to depression.

So if that's who I am I'm moving to Arkansas or some hick ass state and just calling it a day.

I grew up in that same low income waiting on Jesus environment so I understand how it goes.

I felt like killing myself years back working in the mailroom at a job in downtown Miami, seeing all them educated black folks with suits and ties had me feeling away, sisters looked at me like I was a straight bum in the street. I'm still in my feelings over it today and that was years back.

Like Florida isn’t a mostly hick ass state lol. Dog, just go to some of those gulf cities in FLA if you feel that way. You’re in for a big surprise in Arkansas too. Don’t move to Little Rock or the surrounding areas, there’s that same set of bougee black folk there that will look down on you if you’re seen as “underachieving” at your age. Philander Smith College (HBCU) is in the city center and UAPB (HBCU), Henderson University, ASU also are all close by.

Believe it or not, there’s a large segment of educated black folk with money. That’s Central Arkansas though (NW ARK is really Bougee). You’re going to have to go live in the Ark/Miss Delta area or way down South in Hope/Texarkana area to be broke in peace (if that’s even possible). You should’ve said Idaho or Montana or some shyt.

Oh and if you’re among the have nots shyt can get sticky real fast. I know you’re from MIA or wherever, but trust me when I say the violence alone should make you look elsewhere, it’s one of our best kept secrets. Not one city in Florida is as violent as LR or Pine Bluff Arkansas. It’s not a game in Arkansas, Louisiana, or Mississippi destitute areas.

I definitely don't know how ppl are making any kind of living working those jobs in 2019 Southern California even with two of those jobs you will barely be able to afford a shytty one bedroom apt. in a shytty neighborhood....it sucks but hopefully they keep pushing and get it together

I actually know it's like this everywhere you know when you feel a way you say dumb stuff but the truth is pretty ugly this is normal culture. You either man up or get out.

I remember graduating college and having a $9 hr/job....i remember having 3 low paying jobs at one point in my mid 20s, still scraping to get by....so I been thru it. I'm just glad I was able to level up and get a real career and not have to live like that. I remember my next door neighbor working a super stressful job taking care of mentally challenged adults....shyt was dangerous, them ppl will bite and fight you...he told me his co-worked got part of his ear bit off. I remember we were talking about pay and he mentioned he only got $10/hr for that and hadn't gotten a raise in years.

I know some folk don't really try and make a change and that it aint easy but I felt bad for breh....like damn you working 60 hrs a week for what? To just barely pay bills and have to take out payday loans to even do that

Last year i was at chick fil a drive through. And doing busy times they have the employees outside in the heat taking orders.

Pulled up and it was a guy i remembered from high school. He said hey man you look familiar, where you from???

I had to pretend like i didn't know him too awkward

Y’all actually overestimate how much money you can really get selling the p*ssy, particularly if the market gets even more flooded along with whatever moral value/loss the individual woman puts on it. Maybe in bigger cities I suppose, but Raleigh and Charlotte are pretty big cities in the grand scheme thing, and I know plenty of pure hoes out here lol and they’d be better off just having $14 hour 35 hour week jobs.

no time soon. I drive the highway for 20mins to work everyday and there are soooo many damn semis it’s not funny. Go be a trucker for now. Stack your money and find something else you may want to do in the future. But driving trucks ain’t going anywhere anytime soon
