Not a breh.

Professionally or at home? I can recommend some products if you don’t mind venturing into Sephora or other ladylike stores. Lol

I’m on my phone. So please excuse typos.

I had it done at a spa. She first examined my skin and asked what I wanted. She recommend a treatment with microdermabrasion in it. At her spa, it is a grainy lotion that she massages into your skin. My skin looks brighter. You gotta stay out of the sun and use sunscreen because it removes the top layer of your skin.

At home:

Microdermabrasion is a physical form of exfoliation. If you don’t mind venturing from that, here are some other products that exfoliate.

Ole Henriksen has an at-home peel. Sephora sells it for 50, but TjMaxx sells old ones for 15. It is called Brightening Peel. If you google the brand, more pictures of the product will come up.

You can also buy a clairsonic. They make one for men. It is around 200. I still use mine from 2-3 years ago. It isn’t my fave, but eh.

If you don’t want to put little crystal or other physical forms of exfoliation on your skin, try a chemical peel. The ordinary has a BHA chemical peel. I use it once a week. My skin looks flawless, including pores.

Whether you use chemical or physical, YOU MUST HAVE A GOOD SUNSCREEN. I fukked up my skin the first time by refusing to use it. Your skin will have a burnt texture to it and it will undo what you have already attempted to fix. Since you are a dude and I assume you don’t have to worry about makeup, spf 30+ from neutregena is fine. Make sure it doesn’t have a white cast because you, too, will look ghostly.

If you notice nothing is working, go to a dermatologist. Your skin is an organ and sometimes skin problems reflect internal disorders.

Sorry for the long post! Skincare is one of my hobbies and I review products for companies.

Uneven? Or dry spots

The ordinary has a chemical peel. 8 bucks. It is at ulta, Sephora, and more. I love it. Very simple to use.

Wash your face with a soft gentle cleanser.
Air dry. Make sure your face is 100% dry.
Apply product. It is going to sting. If it burns, I take a q-tip and remove that area.
Wipe off with Luke warm water.
Do a face mask with serum.
Apply a thick moisturizer before bed.

1x a week.

Use sunscreen daily.

Uneven

Also any recommendations for dark circles around eyes?

I use The Ordinary caffeine serum. It stays sold out tho.

However, neutregena ( i cannot spell this brand) has a aqua eye cream. It has hydraluranic acid in it. I used that before the caffeine serum.

I edited the older post. It applies to uneven.

Why would a black girl use sun screen? Even light skin sisters don't burn ROFL

Actually, black folks have higher rates of dying of skin cancer. Your skin may not burn, but the rays are still in contact with it.

Also in terms of exfoliation, your skin has a protective layer. When you exfoliate, you remove that layer making your skin easier to burn. Some folks don’t. I do.
