Now I'm a bulls fan through and through but.......the best wing defender in the Jordan era was on his team. Jordan would get his but if they put LeBron on him, who is bigger, faster and stronger than Mike then I'm not so sure. I'll roll with the 92 team by 5
I'm from SOHH and have been lurking on this site for a while , just reading and taking it all in. However, when I read this bullsh!t I had to sign up.
Lebron is faster than Mike??? Are you smoking crack? Even when Mike was "washed up" he was still hanging with the games best. You're really underestimating Mike...and you act like Lebron (before this year) had never been taken out of a game. Mike was scoring with consistent "Jordan Rules" in play.
Secondly, someone came on here and said Chris Mullin "wouldn't be able to guard anyone", you're an idiot sir. While I don't think Mullin should have been on that Dream Team, his defense was very capable and you could stat whore and see he had years of average over 2 steals a game (I know that doesn't mean you're a good defender but you don't average 2 steals a game with average foot speed without being very heady on defense)...Chris Mullin was definitely not some defensive liability and was a very scrappy team defender...
Lastly, DT1 would beat this DT as others have pointed out, DT1 had legitimate post players. Who could get the ball in the paint and get their shots off for easy buckets. Who would guard Drob or Ewing who could play perimeter shooting or post up? Also, DT1 had true PGs who could run offense...what PG does this Dream Team have that is able to really set people up like John Stockton or Magic could? Also, Magic wasn't over-the-hill like some people are saying....2 years away from winning a championship....he def wasn't Larry Bird status at this point. In fact, he came back to the NBA a few years later and still average 15, 6, 7!!! You guys don't know what you're talking about and it's a shame you're overlooking these guys because you're too young to remember how good they were.
This isn't the 90's guys shytting ont he 60's guys because the game changed (guys in the 60's couldn't even dribble with their left hands)...we are talking about 80-present day where the game hasn't changed THAT much and the skillsets of the players haven't improved to the extent where you can discount the 90s team.
