I think 92 Dream Team would beat 12 USA Team, but would not dominate the 12 Olympics playoffs now the same way they did back then. The difference is all the nations didn't have the same steroids and equipment back then + now they play by FIBA rules.

I think the 12 team we have now could duplicate the same gold medal run back in 92 era against that competition and rules because they would still have more dominant big men than any other European team back then. Muresan, Sabonis, Smits, Mutumbo, Hakeem, Divac, etc. still wouldn't be able to contain Bosh, Lebron, Chandler, Davis, Cousins, Griffin, etc. If the 92 Dream Team would have used Shaq or Alonzo straight out of college instead of Laettner they would have been impossible to score on.

Most of the better big men that would have a chance against 12 USA team today are from West Africa, and the only African team in the current field is Tunisia?

Magic and Bird were barely moving at that point. No way they're gonna hold anybody on the perimeter. Mullin aint guarding anybody. Jordan/Pippen arent gonna shut down Lebron and Kobe quite like you guys think.

And let's take injuries into account, if Derrick Rose, DWade, Blake Griffin werent hurt, there's still ZERO way DT1 beat's this team by 25.

Dream Team 1 was never tested. Not once, b/c teams were AWFUL back then. It's like they were a an NBA team against a bunch of high schoolers

To end story, what you don't realize is, every player on the Dream Team was a killer except for Christian & that can be debated coming out of college. The only player that's a killer on this 2012 squad is Kobe . You putting pit bulls against poodles, it ain't no fun & games, lovey dovey shyt. nikkas getting they ass whooped. I'm not saying 25 but believe it would be in double digits.

Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Scottie Pippen, Chris Mullin, Karl Malone, and John Stockton are "killers" but LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, etc. aren't? Mullin who never led a team anywhere, Ewing who will miss finger rolls to win playoff games, Pippen who will refuse to come into a game if the play isn't called for him, the Mailman who can't deliver on Sundays, etc., etc.

im pretty sure they were being cocky/arrogant and not trying. and that other team did have C web and some other great players.. but yes if they came arrogant/cocky they could lose, this team isnt someone to fukk around with, but if they came with the right mindset ready to destroy them, that is exactly what they would do

i went to numerous games features MJ's bulls, ive seen numerous battles between him and 'nique and i grew up on 80s/90s bball , so that part of your comments is incorrect
