If Reigns keeps having good/great matches I think smarks will end up cheering for him. I don't think he's permanently going to be in the same "boo because it's cool/part of the show" as Cena.

They will. Neckbeards are almost as stubborn as old man Vince is and they've decided that Roman needs to be booed, no matter if it's in a random-ass Bray Wyatt feud where there's nothing on the line.

Question: has Cena's reign as US champ helped him to earn cheers? If so, then they will boo Roman because he doesn't deserve the strap.

If Cena is still generating 40 to 50% boos over the course of the year, then Roman has a chance.

It was a very pro heel crowd though. Owens got one of the biggest pops.

I honestly don't know what's the issue between the crowd and Reigns at this point but I can't see them being stubborn about him for the long run if he keeps his quality of matches up.
The problem with Reigns and the crowd is you can tell they project him as a winner and it's very obvious the company backs him big time compared to fan chosen guys they job out..like Cesaro. Any free thinking intelligent man can tell the favoritism compared between the two. Zahn has to lose to Cena...Cesaro has to lose to Cena but Reigns DOES NOT. They don't even let Cena bring his name up yet alone wrestle against him.

Idk about cheers, but he was definitely earning respect going out & putting on great matches. Think that's over now tho

But Reigns is pretty damn good too. It's silly to me to still have a grudge on a dude that DIDN'T get the ultimate push (beating Brock for the belt) and gives you consistently good/great matches just because he'll eventually be treated as the Ace.

I may be completely wrong about this but I can't imagine the crowd still having resentment towards him if he keeps giving quality stuff. And I'm pretty sure the moment he turns heel they are gonna cheer for him :snoop:

Reigns is alright and he's not a negative to the show or anything like that..but ONCE YOU TELL a public fanbase that a guy is too pretty and too much of a thing that a Stephanie McMahon wants on top of the company is better than a Dean Ambrose, Bryan, or Cesaro, which has been the CASE CLEARLY in 2015 with the booking him looking superior to all of them, it can never really be the same. Good matches or not...good matches doesn't change favoritism and discrimination because someone isn't pushed over how they look or because they aren't tall enough. No one wants to put up with that shyt in 2015. So Reigns might have to deal with jeers against a Wyatt or anyone a little better than average..it's obvious and they should of saw it coming.

No one fukks with the idea of them picking who the winner is months or even years in advance regardless of what happens between all of that. We arent children. I'm not going to side with the guy because Vince inevitably wants him to be the man. All the fans have ever wanted was for people to go out there put out their best stuff and let the fans choose who the best heel and best face is organically.

If the guy is worth it (and I think Reigns is) then I don't give a fukk if he has been hand picked or not. Dude entertains me so I have no issue with him being the "chosen one" :manny:

Both guys will get booed.
They tainted Roman by pegging him the heir apparent before the fans really chose him.
We can rant and rave about how unfair and mean it is, but no one likes the silver spoon, trustfund kid who gets to where he's at by being hotshotted to the top.
People knew he was winning the Rumble 6 months beforehand.
Once word got out that the McMahon's were adamant about picking him to sit in the throne, he became the equivalent of the teachers pet to fans, and it's unfortunate because the guy has actually made strides.
He puts on good matches consistently and has gotten more comfortable on the mic.
As "the guy," he'll always be met with resistance or indifference because of their blunder, though. Its a different era.
They would have been better off giving him Bryan-esq booking. Fans will sooner rally behind the underdog, whether or not he really is.
Just convince them that he's not in the plans and they'll bite.

I don't hate Reigns, he just doesn't entertain me at all. I see people say he has improved, but I haven't noticed. From what I saw on SD! (calling the tron a TV, getting overhyped about Bray "bringing the hammer" and saying "Monday Night Raw") he is still that uncomfortable less charismatic cousin of the Rock who inexplicably pretended his hand was a gun at the end of their post-Rumble interview.

I likely wouldn't watch, but if I did, I'd go Cena just cuz I like doing the high-pitched tongue roll at the beginning of his song. :manny:
