Both guys will get booed.
They tainted Roman by pegging him the heir apparent before the fans really chose him.
We can rant and rave about how unfair and mean it is, but no one likes the silver spoon, trustfund kid who gets to where he's at by being hotshotted to the top.
People knew he was winning the Rumble 6 months beforehand.
Once word got out that the McMahon's were adamant about picking him to sit in the throne, he became the equivalent of the teachers pet to fans, and it's unfortunate because the guy has actually made strides.
He puts on good matches consistently and has gotten more comfortable on the mic.
As "the guy," he'll always be met with resistance or indifference because of their blunder, though. Its a different era.
They would have been better off giving him Bryan-esq booking. Fans will sooner rally behind the underdog, whether or not he really is.
Just convince them that he's not in the plans and they'll bite.
They didn't even really need to go full underdog, they just shouldn't have booked him like Cena :manny:

If the guy is worth it (and I think Reigns is) then I don't give a fukk if he has been hand picked or not. Dude entertains me so I have no issue with him being the "chosen one" :manny:

lol you are thinking logically tho, most wrestling fans arent logical at all

plus with the precedent wwe has set, fans will naturally want to rebel against the system and unfortunately for reigns he has been branded as a champion of said system

if reigns turned heel sometime next year, i think his eventual face turn after that would be very successful ... it would show the E that they are willing to take chances with his character as opposed to pigeon-holing him as the new superhero cena character ... that is why i think HHH was cheered over Cena at Mania22, despite being enemy #1 for "neckbeards" for YEARS until Cena came along and ran thru all the beloved veterans in a single stride

none of this is reigns' fault tho, wwe rushed his push and sabotaged his momentum, so here we are

That is unless Bryan comes back and the neckbeards get agitated, again.
Nah after this second injury there is ZERO chance he is ever champ again

Bout to go & watch these last 2 rumble matches tho :bryan:

I don't hate Reigns, he just doesn't entertain me at all. I see people say he has improved, but I haven't noticed. From what I saw on SD! (calling the tron a TV, getting overhyped about Bray "bringing the hammer" and saying "Monday Night Raw") he is still that uncomfortable less charismatic cousin of the Rock who inexplicably pretended his hand was a gun at the end of their post-Rumble interview.

I likely wouldn't watch, but if I did, I'd go Cena just cuz I like doing the high-pitched tongue roll at the beginning of his song. :manny:
he def has improved but he still needs a vet to lead him in a match

he's not good on the mic but its morso he does not feel natural...you cant really teach that he has to become a more rounded character

i think he needs to change up his outfit for one
stop doing the fist into the ground thing it just looks corny and always leads to boos
this silly storyline where bray is sorta implying hes gonna kill his daughter or kidnap her or whatever the fukk it is isn't helping anybody

All that shyt is irrelevant now though. People were upset with Reigns getting the fast track push at the Rumble because there was a clearer, better, and more ready option in Bryan. Six months later, Bryan is gone and Reigns has proven himself to be one of the better wrestlers on the roster.

Imo, there really isn't a better option for a top babyface push on the roster (only arguments I could see is for Cesaro and Owens). Is Dean Ambrose really going to have classics with Brock Lesnar like Reigns could?

Probably be a great match honestly. I`m all for it
I can see why they would do it.

Just hate that it seems like no matter how much work you put in some spots will never up for grabs
