Maybe it's just DFW area, but there's no old school car washes being built anymore. And by old school i mean, 4 quarters for 3 mins, you wash your own car with the power wand.

But every week there's a new drive thru car wash opening for $8-10, which doesn't include any wheel cleaning (that's another $3) or anything other than driving ur car thru and then the auto-dry.

That's wild to me, bc these things usually don't clean your car that well if it's dirty. Who's paying $10-12 to wash their car regularly, when you can do it for $1-2 on your own. And do it better.

Guess I'll keep hand-washing/scrubbing in my driveway and going to the last few remaining manual car washes to rinse.

Better go to shell (I'm in Houston)

:gucci: Weird rant, most of these drive thru washes are subscription based. Mine here is $15/month for unlimited washes

Whenever I go into the office, I drive by and get my car washed. Plus they have free vacuums. :manny: Not a bad deal to me.

Not weird.

If urs is 15/month that's different than paying $10 each time. Plus those things don't clean your car super well, leave streaks, dirt spots etc

Nothing I hate more than paying for something that does a half-ass job.

Like most have said, its the subscriptions.

Guaranteed income > going through change machines.

You right, I was doing the coin operated jawn but got sick of essentially racing to wash my car. I would use $5 worth of coins then speed run through the wash before the time ran out, anything more than that and I might as well go to the $10 automated jawn
Last two times I just spent $20 for a wash, wax, and tire clean. shyt legit had my car looking brand new. I bought a car cover too so 1 $20 wash last me like 2 months

I go to one and pay $18 but they give u a free wash coupon that has to be used within 7 days, which isnt bad.. I probably go once or twice a month tho
Or you signup for the 29.99 monthly wash where you can get unlimited washes
