Just occurred to me. If they are smart (seriously doubt it), this could be a way for RapeStop to stage a comeback. Go really aggressive with the used game prices and leverage it against the new higher prices.

But if companies have thrived for this long on a $60 price point, what's the justification in upping the price for next-gen? I would have thought faster and better technology would decrease production costs, not raise them?

And this is probably comparing apples to oranges, but movies cost around the same as a videogame to produce and have gotten more expensive to create over the years as well, yet neither ticket prices nor owning the movie on Blu-Ray would ever see a $10 jump from an already unaffordable price point to most of $60. What's the cost-benefit analysis of raising to $70 and effectively pricing out even more consumers?

There is no justification. This is greed and that's it. It's no more expensive to produce games now than it was for the PS4 and Xbox One. Besides a game like 2K where they rehash the same game year after year is cheap to produce. And don't even get me started on the micro-transactions they charge people.

I would actually be cool with this if it mean 70$ was a COMPLETE game.
