For all the Russia is losing talk I see the ultimate resolution of this conflict being Ukraine conceding some of the eastern regions.

The problem is that they did this already in 2014, yet here we are 8 years later. You can't trust Russia not to invade again sometime in the future, which is why Zelenskiy wants NATO membership.

Ukrainians are in a shytty position tbh.

But should we commit to defending Ukrainian sovereignty at the risk of nuclear Armageddon or should we accept the fact that Ukraine will remain within the Russian sphere of influence as its always been?

It's likely too late for Ukraine to join NATO at this time.

It would likely have to happen once after their dispute with Russia is over and none of us know when that's going to be over.

Shyt might continue onwards into mid-late 2023 or sometime in early 2024, I don't see this ending by the end of the year, Russia/Putin gonna let the shyt linger for as long as he can until he has no choice but to move forward.

Germany and France are both gonna vote no. Ukraine isn an active war zone, one of the requirements is to not have any unresolved military conflicts to join. I will say though, the pipeline blowing up makes things tricky and NATO might form like voltron if it was Russia, but there are certain NATO countries that stand more to gain from that pipeline sabotage than Russia (Lithuania, Latvia, Poland etc.)

If NATO intervenes in Ukraine, Russia has three options. One would be surrender (smartest option) but then that means Putin and his people either get arrested and sent to the Hague or they all fall out of windows mysteriously. The second option would be the tactical nuke (stupidest option) which is a risk that either scares NATO off or destroys the planet.

The last option would be to sell their soul to China, and use their massive production capabilites like they used the USA in WW2 for a lend lease program. That and to continue buying drones from Iran, but while that MIGHT prolong the war a bit longer, they would lose face as a great power and be relegated to Mase in his own videos status eternally

I dont see a good way out of this

We are already at war. We giving them the guns and missiles that they killing Russians with. Don't be fooled. We are in this war already.

But like I said, their application to join won't be accepted.
Facts if I give your enemy a bat now I’m a target too. Such a rookie move to GIVE weapons and money all at once ESPECIALLY against a mf like Putin. Could’ve slow rolled it and gained more leverage and maybe a resolution.

Ukraine: :damn:

Nah this was the only way. It was either do this or let Russia run roughshod and then it turn into a Hitler situation where he invaded one country, nobody did anything so he hit the :yeshrug: and started invading more countries.
