They have the power but they would still need a percentage of Republicans on board for the HEROES ACT to have a chance of passing. The Dems could all vote Yay for the package but would still need at least 10-15 GOP senators to get it passed. It's not as simple as one side in entirety voting in favor with the other side against it and expecting it to pass with flying colors.

Then don't make specific promises if you knew they were unrealistic in the first place or had a tough time passing in the first place.

A lot of people had unrealistic expectations of what Democrats could/would do if they won control of the Senate and unfortunately it doesn't work like that. Said party didn't help matters either by making said promises knowing that they couldn't be done at all. That's politics for you and my exact premise of my complaint. That's why I hated the talk when people thought you could pack the SC with however many people you wanted to or increase the number at all.

Complaining about the GOP is pointless though. They're literally terrorists at this point who want to install a fascist dictator. They aint even doing shyt for white folks anymore. One thing a lot of people fail to realize is that the democratic party is literally like 3 different party rolled into one. In a proper society and government the GOP would be a fringe party at best. Democratic Party would be split and the results would be the 3 main parties. (Progressives, Moderates and Right Wing).

Don't know if it's Bill#1. But You absolutely have to hold them accountable. for something related to the pandemic that should be a priority. I'm giving 3 months to see what they do

You keep specifically referring to the GOP when I am referring to the concept of politicians and elected officials in general. You make unrealistic expectations during your campaign knowing you can't meet said expectations as easily or they were realistic in the first place. You only do so in order to inspire hope and win said position. You can not meet those expectations and criteria even if you knew you couldn't in the first place, yet still find a way to win and remain in office and even have people making excuses for you of why you couldn't.

If you say you're going to do something at a job and/or have a performance review and don't meet said expectations, what do you think is going to happen? Now take that same logic and apply to politics.
