Exactly. They were a couple years removed from playing on SNF for a No.1 seed, at the NYG, late in the same season. They made a SB and a NFC Championship game in the pre Cam, Steve Smith era. Only one SB appearance in Cam's era. In the SB appearances, Smith and the Panthers lose an epic, three point game to a budding dynasty. Cam gave up at halftime vs a Denver team with a dominant defens, but a QB who was literally finished
