Announced on Thunder and hyped on the show it was happening on is not good promotion for a match that with actual hype (as in, more than 3-4 days) could have been the most watched match of the hottest era of wrestling. Instead, it got a barely above average rating and provided zero momentum to WCW. WCW LOST momentum. That's the opposite of good promotion.

No they didn't. WCW ratings were the same or lower in the second half of 1998 and WWE more consistently won the ratings every week. Goldberg was barely even on TV after he won the title.

Maybe his life too since that's when he started doing drugs hardcore
No it wasn't. He was heavy into drugs before his FIRST WCW run. Look up a few posts to see the difference in his body due to drugs from 1997 to 1998 before the back injury.

one of the GOAT nitro moments.

i remember it being in the summer, and I think the only reason I caught that episode was because it was raining.

When this happened I thought he was a generic Warrior, because the real one died in the early '90s :russ:

lol.

my aunt was still talking that stuff all the way up until jim hellwig died.

I got a cousin in his mid 30s who still thinks both Taker and Kane were replaced because the real ones died.

lol @ the crowd going nuts over a silhouette.

warrior is easily one of the most over wrestlers ever.

when they did that rock/Austin/Hogan segment at mania 30, I always said the warrior should've been included, since he was actually in attendance for once.
