It's more than time now for the media to stop treating Kevin Durant with kid gloves. LeBron was nowhere NEAR this coddled in his Cleveland years. No more free passes for KD. He's the fukking MVP of the league. If he fails and comes up short this year in such an unflattering display again, it should be open season on him. Feelings be damned. You're in the NBA, son; man up or back down.

Melo would've folded under Grit n Grind, just like Durant.

I remember Matt fukking Harpring and the Jazz would get Melo so flustered that in one game, he committed 4 offensive fouls on 4 straight possessions. :dead:
at least matt harpring is as big as melo.
they throwing guards at durant. nikka should be feasting in the post.

LeBron's circumstances were much different than KD's. LeBron was deemed the "Chosen One" before he even entered The NBA; the hype was unprecedented. He even got that tatted on his back. KD never came into the league with those kind of expectations.

But Durant has been compared to as LeBron's equal, and they're most likely gonna give him the MVP award. So, to me, when you couple all of that in PLUS the fact that he did not come up in crunch time last year when they got bounced by Memphis, it's on KD now. You even have Westbrook now compared to last year. No excuses. Perform, or you will be criticized. That's it.

Stop acting like players of his caliber haven't failed before. You're falling for that ridiculous ass media narrative. Great teams win championships, not players. By your logic, Wilt should have like 10 rings.

I'm just trying to hold these superstars to a level of accountability due to such high standards that prepped up on themselves, either by the media or by th eplayers themselves.

It'll always be fukk OKC for stealing the supersonics. fukkem, fukkem:pacspit:

Its almost a given that OKC will crumble....If Durant leaves, that franchise leaves with him and no big names will go there.

Them good ole Oklahomans better enjoy the success as much as they can :pachaha:

Some of you dudes need to chill with the hate. The Thunder is playing against a tough defensive team, Memphis Grizzlies , in the first round. Western Conference is a tough zone with 7 out of 8 teams that won 50 games or more in the regular season. I am not surprised of how the series turned out for Kevin and the Thunder. The Grizzlies isn't a mediocre team that can be easily defeated. This isn't the first time that the Thunder had problem with Memphis in the playoffs. The fans and the media should have taken the match up in consideration of those two teams (Memphis and OKC) before they start to disparage KD.
