nikka needs to get his lanky ass into the post. You see that hook shot Magic hit over all those tiny ass guards? Yeah, Tony Allen is a tiny ass guard and the sky hook was never figured out. Him settling for contested jumpers, which is exactly what Allen and the Grizz want, is not going to solve anything. Their attack isn't working and they're not adjusting, obviously on Scott Brooks for being an unimaginative fukk on the offensive end, and yet haven't even tried trying anything new.
Why not sub Durant earlier in the first since Allen subs on? Instead of resting him after he plays the entire first quarter, they could just get him out at the 2 minute mark and have him sub in quicker in the second. He's averaging 47.8 minutes per game, that's ridiculous for a jump shooter. You get tired, your jump loses hop, and your shots end up flat and short. They need to adapt and adjust instead of forcing the issue by trying the same thing over and over. Get other players involved earlier in the game and conserve energy which will allow them to have play with more confidence later in the game while keeping your legs fresh. And no, I'm not suggesting he be a decoy but instead a fukking play maker. He's an MVP, not a decoy, and should be able to get his other teammates involved when he's drawing more than one defender or attracting defenders in the lane.
edit:
Shouldn't forget to point out that all of this is an overreaction. Grizz are the best defensive team in the league, yes better than the Pacers as they their stats are slightly worse due to far superior western conference, and they're kind of good at shutting the other team's players down. They like the grind it out style and each game has been that. If that Ibaka put back counts then no one is talking about this shyt and instead going on about how Thunder are going to put the Grizz away in six due to the "MOMENTUM".
