As for the Stadium for the people who are not Yankee fans who don't know whats up it's because no one likes the new Stadium it sucks. The security badgers you for cheering or standing up when at the old one you could go wild and have no issues.

You think the hardcore fan cares about steaks and resturants? Or the opened up stadium that kills out noise when the real fans wouldn't leave there seat for a second anyway...

Na it's across the street from where it was subway is right there. It's just the atmosphere and the vibes it gives off. You use to feel like you were sitting next to hardcore fans who cared and took pride in being the best crowd in baseball to cookie cutter clean stadium with people sitting next to you who want to be seen at a game and going just to have something to do with out really caring about the game. Plus security makes you feel like you have to sit on your hands or you'll be kicked out.

This yankee team is an insult and a complete slap in the face to all loyal fans. It begins and ends there. All the variables about out pricing, cold weather, feel of the stadium --- I dont want to dismiss those things, but if the team is balling and exciting fans will get their ass to the stadium, and learn to deal with the things you mentioned.

This team is shockingly awful. A 250 mill payroll for this? A goddamn symbol of the boston redsox as our cleanup hitter? Fck is he doing on the team? Where is the young talent to galvanize the fans, and allow us to grow with them? The A-Rod debacle was completely avoidable. Fck is everybody on our team so old and used up for? This is the worst NY team, of any sport, I have seen in my lifetime.

If the Jets were to go on a playoff run like they did a few years ago the city goes nuts.

Yankee Stadium was empty for playoff games last year. It sucks, but the Yankee FO is slowly destroying the product.

No shyt we'd go nuts they haven't win in 45 years. The city would explode too if the Mets were a playoff team. That has more to do with their droughts rather than the sport.


Fact is NY sports as a whole is at a low point damn near across the board. The most optimistic story is the Knicks and that's till they get smacked by the Heat

The Yankees won 95 games and people still hated the team. It's not based on performance.

I didnt say that it was....this team, outside of Jeter, Mo, and CC is completely un-engaging and even hatable. If this were a young, up and coming squad then it would be one thing. We are far outspending the competition for a pile of sht.

That Knicks team is debatable. It was overpaid and awful just like this squad...but IMO the feel of this team is far, far worse.

This team is mind-numbingly bad now, and there is no hope things will turn around for the foreseeable future. This team has been comically mismanaged, and there is such an air of elitism and arrogance to this squad. I feel like I am a fan of the New York Mitt Romneys.

We'd never let an up and coming squad truly develop with the championship or bust expectations we have. You got guys wanting to see Mase, Slade, Sanchez, Austin, etc. now even if they're not ready not because they can help us now but because we're impatient as fans.

At least you admit they're hateable. Too many Yankee fans were in denial of that, and even if they're hateable as long as they hit we don't care.
