No it was a big Puig backlash from the traditionalist plus all the Giants/Bay Area fans jumped onboard the Freeman train so that Puig(a Dodger) didn't get in. Bochey, Giants manager and West all star manager, in so many words didn't want him either.

yeah i'm trying to figure out why they are surprised, they don't classify those areas as "Braves Country" out of some misguided sense of their pulling power ... it's just a fact.
