I don’t follow college football as much with the portal and transfers and shyt. But what is the end game for Deion here - is he just coaching until his sons graduate? Is he trying to be a long term coach for Colorado? Whole setup seems like a gimmick to me

EDIT - I see both of his sons graduate this year. Is Deion still coaching this team next year?
We don’t know Deion

Wow. This is super true and I never thought about it like that.

Youth ball values the skill positions. Kids who are faster and shiftier than others at rb or wr, or kids who are elusive at qb, and CB is like a skill position on defense which a wr can possibly play both ways.

But it's not valuing the trenches bc most kids, size wise, are not physically developed for line-play at that age. The youth football skill in the trenches is not going to match the flashy skill positions
Makes sense.

A lot of Front-7 defensive players + o-line brehs won't even be in the trenches in youth football. Micah Parsons was a (very good) running back even in high school.

The kids with elite OL/DL/LB potential are so big/fast, you almost HAVE to play them at RB/FB/TE etc., until their size and strength catch up to their raw athleticism.

Shedeur's personality might work for a kicker or CB....but a QB (ESPECIALLY A BLACK QB) needs to be a leader. Take the blame whether it's your fault or not. Prime raised his QB son to act like a hired mercenary CB...not a franchise QB.

Why it gotta be all that?

Check yourself

What's wrong with "ghettofied?"

I'm black and many posters on here can confirm that. But "ghetto" doesn't say a race. It says that what's going on over there is some low-brow BS...

Doing a lot of huffing and puffing, playing favorites and doing whatever it takes to make sure HIS BOY and Travis get all the shine. Listen to what Shedeur was saying, a head football coach worth his salt would be fuming if a player, much less the QB1, said something like that about the rest of the Oline/team. It means he's either teaching it or accepting it, either way it's not good.

I woulda called the same situation ghettofied, even if it was a white coach that was in charge :yeshrug: cuz that's exactly what it is
