yea breh u def sound like a NY nikka now.
Ok let me go down the list.

Gucci- Ok, even tho hes not as big as he used to be.
Future- Yes, a good addition to the south this year.
Ross- Still doing his thing, tho fell of slightly until he dropped Hold Me Bacc
2 Chains- Saved ATL
Flocca-nah, I love flocca, but most people are tired of him and he will never have another Hard In The Paint
Yo Gotti- Yea
Killer Mike- no one cares about dude, or checcs for him, i never even hurd a song from him
Juice- If u mean juicy j den yea, but that was jsut for this year really. He'll be bacc irrelevant again next year
Wayne- skateboards, fell of
Trae- Even nikkas in Texas aint checcin for him like that plus hes like 40
Krit- Had buzz but its dying, no one cares
J cole-a cornball and isnt really a southern artist, just another lame ass pseudo intellectual rapper
I dont even like all these cats... but you cant deny they are runnin shyt right now.

Krit, j cole, wayne and 2 chainz been wack as fukk to me. But people are still checkin for them

all them other nikkas had a good year too. SMOSM4 was dope as fukk. Obviously flocka aint as big as he was a few years ago but he still get features everywhere. Trae had an incredible year he dropped the whisper flow, came correct, dropped one of the best mixtapes of the year and bodied all his features.

Lets not even talk about the underground/less known releases this year... young scooter, don trip, alley boy, OJ, bricksquad, DJ paul, Project Pat, starlito, zed zilla, trouble all dropping heat even if not a lot of people checking for them.

and boosie get out next year :upsetfavre: its a wrap for 2013 too

ok?
Wu Tang does shows too, does that mean that NY is still relevant?
Are you even from the south or are you one of them frustrated transplant up north nikkas coming to the south and trying to put a pulse on our music influence and relevance? I mean seriously first you try to say nikkas in Houston and Texas don't listen to Trae and Ro anymore b/c they 40 (Which is wrong bc Trae is 32 and Ro is 33) and then when you get called out you say and no one outside of Texas listens to them when they constantly have shows throughout the south and have been doing so for years (they wouldn't be having shows if they weren't in demand)

The mid-2000's was The South peaking commercially, but The South still has a tight stronghold on Hip Hop. Although, the door is more open now for more regions to shine than it was, a lot of the new artists are heavily influenced by The South despite where they are from (ASAP and Kendrick). There's still new artists blowing up or being re-introduced from The South.

I would say just as much rappers are being influenced by the west as the south.

You telling me you wouldnt think wiz was from cali if he never stated where he was from or shot a video?
Big Sean doesnt talk like a cali nikka?

You could make that arguement, but I didn't say The South had a stronghold off influence alone. There's other factors.
