Directory lister, what that do?

I keep the contents of a disc in a file in a folder. I can search to find out what disc a program, song or movie is on.

I keep the contents of a disc in a file in a folder. I can search to find out what disc a program, song or movie is on.

I needed something like that for my Star Wars collection.
But I needed something more like an indexer like I could organize my shyt like this or even straight up like an html page:
Timeline of media - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki
And then I click on the name of book/comic and it opens wherever it is on my external. That would be magic

That sounds like something XBMC could or should be able to do. Can someone more well-versed than myself help this breh out?
