Some of Justice Leagues beats and Just Blaze beats can compete with some of these classics. Hell even prime Kanye was an extraordinary beatmaker at one point.

I love that 90s sound, but with that said, I don't think it's all that fair to compare old school with new school since how samples back then were handled was way different than now and old producers had the advantage of being the first to use a lot of these samples. Samples now are also very expensive.
