The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
So Kanye paid every single source, when he doesn't even speak to magazines? I think some of the magazines are British as well. :childplease:

Why didn't Jay, with 10 times more money, pay for them not to call BP3 average?

lol at major papers like LA Times, Daily News and on jeopardizing their integrity for a few thou :win:

One thing is sure though, Kanye can't be dropping non-conservative music when he's a pop star, cause he has pop fans.
That won't, can't and won't try to understand anything that's abnormal.
:yeshrug:

Its also funny that you think a professional reviewer's opinion matters :bryan:

Im sure you were singing a different tune when BP3 got called average

They do matter, back in the days it was The Source (even though it was always wack), nowadays with the internet it's the average of them all.
I don't agree with Kanye's high score while I agreed with BP3's average score.

Whatever you do don't buy this album...
I ordered it on Amazon and read lots of mixed and disappointed reviews over the week it took for it to actually be delivered...

Opened it up today and put it in play in the car as I went about my day...
I felt robbed...

10 songs (if you can call them all songs)
And the only thing I felt was decent was "Blood On The Leaves"...

I'm done with Kanye, you don't do your fans like this...
If anything we should have got a fair warning from Kanye that this was just some experimental thing he released and to not confuse it with the same quality of his previous classics...

I won't be fooled again...

This was my last Kanye West CD, thats how robbed I feel about this cd...
It's like he didn't even try...

Thats why you get the DL first breh... And dont amazon give you a digital copy day 1? :skip:

The game is different. Alot of the folks who you're referring to have learned to keep their mouths shut to make sure they get invited to Label sponsored things. There is no more journalism in HipHop media. They operate more as P.R for artists now.

I follow a bunch of them on twitter. They went to the Listening Party for the album and were straight up scared to say what they felt about the album talking about "I gotta really sit with it and listen a few more times"

:wtf:

It's music, not biology or some serious science. It either gives you a good feeling or it doesn't. They were frightened to state their own opinion, then the label reminded them of how they make a living and they curbed their response.

Even if Kanye rapped over static they'd give him the benefit. It's the real people who don't have to suckk dicck for a living who will tell u the truth.

It's hilarious that Elliot Wilson does a segment called the Truth where he defends the industry. :wtb: :stopitslime:

Man, even if you don't like Yeezus you gotta give the dude credit for pushing the limits of "hip hop".. which is what he did.

Look at what rap has become over the past few years? Things are changing and evolving.. get with it or stay in the past.

Magazines mattered back in the day because music was expensive (an album cost 4 to 8x more after inflation) and info on new artists and other regions was scarce. Once the internet came around magazines became a joke (how can u forget how Benzino RUINED the Source). Now we get music around the same time as reviewers or earlier and have access to pretty much everything going on through the internet. Why should anyone listen to a magazine reviewer in 2013?
