To your point on the ~10% or so that they get beat, guy I work with down here in Raleigh, just spent 3 weeks on jury duty for a federal gun trafficking case out of Rocky Mount NC. The guy on trial had already taken a plea for felon with a firearm, but got off on the trafficking charge. According to the guy I worked with, he beat the trafficking charge because the CI had inconsistencies with his wire or some shyt like that...

So homeboy is gonna end up doing 5 or 6 years for the possession charge, which came from when he was arrested, so taking the plea adds to the Feds conviction rate....but beating the trafficking charge at trial adds to the rare occasion someone beats em at trial.

Guy I work with just got back to work a few days ago, shyt was a 3-week trial...

Yeah most times you "negotiate" with the feds and celebrate its like being glad a niigga ran your pockets for $50 when you only had $100 to begin with. You still getting robbed.

Because they treat each significant case like a career maker, they're dogged AF and petty. Normal cops hate having to cooperate because fukking feds be on their necks too going over shiit repeatedly.
